C-Project - Task 5, Vision & Imagination

I imagine that with our project we will gain a lot of knowledge about tap water, which we can then share with other people. Insights into the water situation from other cultures in different countries will help us to recognize the differences in between. Our project will inspire people to think more about our precious tap water and makes us appreciate our situation more. We will collect so much information, so that we will be perfectly informed. The project will hopefully bring us a lot of experience in terms of collaboration. I also think that this project will bring us many more positive aspects, which we will find in the course of the project.

C-Project - Task 3, Concept for tap water in different countries

Concept for tap water in different countries

Names of collaboration team members:
Team from Switzerland: Emina & Sandrina
Team from Turkey: acquaintance of Sandrina
Team from Bosnia: relatives of Emina

Our research question:

Main question: How do people in other countries have to deal with tap water compared to Switzerland?

Refined questions:

  • How is the quality of tap water?
  • How do they get the water?
  • Can you drink the tap water in this country? Why? Why not?
  • How is the tap water system in different countries?
  • For what is tap water used in each country?
  • What about the costs and transport of tap water?

Our answers:

  • Exchange with the people from other countries
  • Have the water analyzed in a labor
  • Research in the internet
  • Check it in our everyday life (How do we have to deal with tap water?)

Goal: We want to design our project appealing and creative. It should contain interesting insights that appeal to people. We also want to learn as much as possible from this experience

C-Project - Task 1, Collaboration partners

Project idea: Tap water in different countries

Collaboration: Emina will talk to her relatives in Bosnia about this and Sandrina will make contact with acquaintances in Turkey. The people there (in Bosnia and Turkey) have already given their consent. We are looking forward to it.

AdditionallyWe are often in these two countries, which is why we plan to do some tests there and even take water with us and contact a laboratory in Switzerland to have the water analyzed.

Tap water in different countries

Project: Tap water (around the world)

Team: Emina Murtic und Sandrina Nauer

Effects:

We want to draw people’s attention to how easily / hard some people have access to drinking water and how people in different countries (have to) deal with (tap) water etc.

Which method do we want to use?

  • Interview with people from other countries
  • Survey in the street/internet how people think about this topic
  • Research in the internet
  • Check it in our everyday life (How do we have to deal with tap (water)

Strategy:

We will apply the above methods, document everything accurately and hopefully achieve our desired goals.

Audience:

Everyone that is interested.

Zoom meeting with people from abroad

On December 3rd, 2021 we had contact with students and teachers from Izmir and Kerala via Zoom.
The plan was to discuss project ideas in small groups (break out rooms). It was totally okay
for a first meeting.
There are a few things that could be improved. For example, that everyone prepares for a
specific question before the meeting.
Or that the task is explained more clearly.

But all in all: we are confident that the meetings will keep getting better and that they will bring many exciting aspects into the future.
