The rough version of my work is already finished and still needs to be revised, especially the schedule. I was able to contact my former professional supervisor, who will take a look at my work before it is published. As a second person, my colleague Anna will also look at the work and make corrections regarding the spelling, if necessary.
- selmade picture (finished)
- World without humans (title - finished)
- short introduction (finished - but also revising)
- content of our project (still revising)
- photo gallery
- interviews with Ela and Kaan (finished
- our analysis and conclusion (in progress)
- mentions of the team members and collaboration partners (in progress)
My collaboration partners Ela and Kaan are both from Turkey and live in the same place in Istanbul. The distance from Switzerland to Istanbul is about 2200 km, by plane it would take about 3 hours from Zurich.
On the picture below I have circled the town in red where they live.

Compared to Vision and Imagination, there are some discrepancies. I can't reflect a lot of things exactly yet, since my project is still in progress, but I can already draw some insights from it:
I must honestly admit that the topic was not particularly easy. Especially because it is quite extensive and it is hardly possible to consider every aspect. In the beginning, I planned to start a survey. However, while collecting questions, I quickly realized that the survey would not make much sense in my work, so I had to drop it. Working with my collaboration partners from Turkey gave me new ideas. The exchange also made me rethink topics I had never thought of.
Regarding the project topic "the world without people" I was also able to learn about new issues. I became aware once again of the great influence we humans and especially technology have on the world.
My friend Alicia, who studies natural sciences, will ask her professor about further aspects which could concern my topic (unpredictable mutations in the animal world, nuclear power plant etc.).

10 January 2022
I had some conversations via Face Time with my relatives Ela and Kaan from Turkey, to be more precise Istanbul.
We talked about the topics regarding the work and came to the conclusion that flora and fauna will also be a huge topic.
"On the one hand, it would be better if we didn't exist, but it's sad how our houses are destroyed and we never experience it.
But for that the world would live as it wants without any people who have destroyed nature, so to speak," was Ela's statement.
The question of how the world would be without us will of course be the main topic. Nevertheless, Kaan and Ela want to present another thesis: "What would a big city be like in contrast to a small remote village without people?

This project will be based mostly on documentaries that can be found on Youtube. I already know that there will be no final answer to the question of what the world would look like without us humans. After all, we speculate a lot and how it would actually look, it will only be known if it comes so far that no humans are left in the world.
However, in the context of this project, the individual processes, how the world would look like without us, will be described in more detail. That means, the project will show how it would look like in the first days, in the first weeks and in the first years.
With a planned survey the young people as well as to the old ones are supposed to think about what a big influence we humans have in fact, which animals have already died due to us and whether the future brings something good with it. This evaluation will be a part of this project.
I want to do my project with different people, especially with different age groups.
I can achieve this with a survey via social media. I have to make sure that I include my classmates as well, since I am interested in their opinions as well. In addition, I would like to interview someone who is knowledgeable about the "environment". Possibly a student or even a lecturer at a college.
In summary:
- Interview students and adults by survey or conduct oral interview
- Professionals or students who operate in the field of "environment" and own knowledge in this matter
Effect/impact?
I want to make people aware of what a big impact we humans have on the world. This project is intended to give a deeper insight into how the world would develop without any human influence. What would happen to the houses/cars/streets/animals?
Methods/techniques/tools?
- Survey with the students
- Research on the Internet
- Documentation on Youtube
- Interviews with experts, if possible
What are the required steps for achieving the effect?
By interviewing different people and the surveys of students my project should get a good balance. This project should stimulate the readers to think and eventually some will begin to live more consciously and become aware of what people have done to the world.
Audience?
Teenagers as well as adults
