IDAF - Project
English & Environment & Technology
The Goal: Start, plan and lead a collaboration project with the befter (before & after the experience) method. In the course of IDAF there are at least 3 befter-steps: (1) Imagination, (2) Research, (3) Experience on Site (organizing).

What to do / Outline
BRING YOUR OWN DEVICE AND WORK IN GROUPS
- Form groups of two
- Choose a topic related to Environment & Technology (Introduction by teacher E&T)
- Write a post on The Horse about: What is your goal and how can it be achieved? (Categories: your class, IDAF21)
- Get the teachers' consent

=>advantages: Open source, for free, unlimited respondents, also works offline.
- C-Project Task 7: Communication - Inform about the meetings in the collaboration team
=>Meeting min 1x per week (When? With whom? Which communication channel (e.g. Zoom, WhatsApp, ...)? What was the result or the decision for further actions?

- C-Project Task 8: THE EXPERIENCE
Perform your experience (research project related to your research question). For example the team could visit a company and do an interview on site! There are different ways to perform something new: For example designing an experiment, doing an interview or survey, asking questions to an experienced person or scientist which explains and shows you exactly how it works. (No ideas? There is a toolbox on «The horse»)
* Result: A collection of impressions & insights, media (video, audio, images, text, etc.) and maybe new evolving questions.

Reporting
Each group sends a representative to interview to:
- report on working methods used and results achieved
- summarize the main realizations that resulted from your work
- report on how the results of your work will impact your everyday life – if at all. Will you change some of the ways in which you have been behaving as a result of your conclusions?
Time frame 5' per student (speak freely, freies Sprechen, ohne Ablesen).
- State of the project so far?
- International collaboration engagement?
- Self-made media so far (Text, photo, audio, video)?
- befter Steps :: Experience (team): Contact with experts, interviews, visit on site, surveys, etc.
- Reflection and outlook :: Where are you on a scale of 10: from start 1 to publication 10?
Grading Criteria
- Group mark for clarity, organization and depth of content (counts as half a mark in E&T) =>IDAF-Grading-Template.pdf (729.59 kb)
- Individual mark for English vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, fluency, depth of content (counts as a full mark in E)
- The final IDAF mark will consist of half a mark in E&T and half a mark in English.
