Writing Interview Invitations

Interview invitation for the family groupchat (usa):

Hi everyone

I am currently working on a project for school about women in IT.
Since our class has to collaborate with people from different countries I was
wondering if any of you were up to do an interview with me.

We could either zoom together or I could send you the questions and you'd be able to send
me the audio recordings with your answers. Either way I will just use the audio to create a
little podcast to showcase my project.

xoxo

To-Do-List, 11.02.2022

1. Goals:

Today we want to finish and post our survey, which we made in different languages; in thai and german.

2. Who is doing what:

- Jasmin is writting on the article and searching informations.
- Kim is creating the "Titelblatt" and doing the Project Bubbles.

3. Next steps:

In the sportholiday we want to work at our project. We are goingt to meet each other two times  and discuss new ideas.

C-Project - Task 12, Team work Collaboration projects

State of the art: We're probably at a 6 or 7. We've already had 2 meetings with our collaboration partners, where we talked, got to know each other and discussed a lot. Now it should be clear to everyone who has to do what.

Changes:

  • weekly meetings will not be necessary. We only want to meet when there are things to discuss.
  • in addition, Emina will take care of the exchange with Bosnia and Sandrina with Turkey. We find it easier this way, as we sometimes have issues that don't affect both countries. Of course we will inform each other about the exchange.

New:

  • We have agreed on a deadline for the photos, at the latest after the sports holidays, on Friday, March 4th, 2022 we want to have photo material. Emina will take care of material coming from Bosnia and Sandrina from Turkey. Also remember them of our deadline we agreed if necessary. And until that date we will also take care of pictures from Switzerland.
  • We will still compile questions that we will answer ourselves (Switzerland) and let our collaboration partners (Bosnia and Turkey) answer. Possibly we can also collect audio material with it and otherwise just record it in writing.

Difficulties:

  • since we are related  and/or well-known, we do not want to rush them to deliver material, but we must also move forward. So we need patience.
  • we also have a lot of school things and other things to do, even if we would prefer to only work on this project

Positive:

  • we get along well, it's fun
  • because we know them, it's cozy and not weird
  • they are great sources of information for us and once we get material we have a lot of useful and truthful stuff

The terrible truth behind tap water

Hello everyone

Everyday we use tap water. it doesn't involve any effort and nothing special for us, we just use it. But what about people in other countries? For many it is much more than normal to have good tap water. Tap water there is expensive, not existing, dirty, difficult to find or even poisons you. But all above, tap water ist necessary for survival. Precisely because of that, wwe made tap water our project.

If you want to know more about our project then have fun with the following video:

And if you want to test your knowledge about tap water and help us with our project then fill out the following survey:

Thank you!

Brainstorming with my Dad

interview / recorded phone call with my Dad

We covered memories about my grandma and ideas on who to talk to about women in IT. Additionally, we covered my future career options (would I work in IT? would I even be interested? If so, what interests me? )

C-Project Task 12: Team work Collaboration projects

State of the art:
On a scale from 1-10 we're on a 5 at the moment. So far we've had one meeting (Liranda with her relatives and Angela with hers) with our collaboration partners, where we explained what our project is about to them. We informed them that we're currently working on a survey, which we will send to them in due course and also that we are in need of some footage of their plastic waste that they create during one day. We also did a good amount of research already, so we can start writing our texts soon. All in all, it is clear now who has to do what.

Challenges:
As expected, our relatives asked us to translate the survey in their mother tongue, which is kind of stressful for us since our skills in the languages concerned aren't perfect. But most unfortunate is the fact that our relatives aren't as collaborative as we've expected them to be. As mentioned above, we've asked them to send us pictures. Up until now they haven't sent us any, despite several reminders. We figured that they might not be very interested in the topic of our project.

Chances:
Even if we're not in the best situation with our collaboration partners right now, we'll take this as a chance to work on our responsibility. From this, we can conclude that, you shouldn't give up even if things are not going according to plan. It is important to be as flexible as possible, in order to make the project work somehow.

C-Project: Work plan [04.02.2022]

A) Planned:

Today's goal is to work on our survey and to make progress as far as possible. Maybe even start translating the provisional survey questions and answers. But also hopefully starting to draft our texts.

Angela is going to work on the survey. Liranda will continue our research and start drafting the text.

Regarding collaboration: We are still waiting for our relatives to send us photo material.

Project bubbles before:

  • Survey (5/10 - still deciding on which questions and answer-options)
  • C-project tasks (7/10 - tasks are actually done, but most of them are written down in Word-documents, saved on our own devices at home)
  • Media-material collection (0/10 - haven't received any so far)
  • Add/post everything on the horse (?/10 - we're not sure about this one)

B) Achieved:

The survey is not fully ready yet. We are also aware of the fact that we have to get the content of it approved in the near future. Gladly, Liranda could make some progress with our text drafts.

Project bubbles after:

  • Survey (7/10)
  • C-project tasks (6/10 - there are even more tasks, which means we'll have to do some homework, as well as to make sure to post the tasks mentioned above on the horse soon)
  • Media-material collection (0/10 - we still haven't received anything)
  • Add/post everything on the horse (?/10 - we're going to check this out after we post all of the tasks mentioned above)

Work plan for 04.02.2022

A) Goals: Today we want to improve our survey, test it and finally release it. Also we want to do
            task 10.

Emina: will take care of the survey
Sandrina: will take care of task 10

Collaboration progress: We keep having meetings, but still no material. We we will be looking for it soon.

Project bubbles before:

  • Survey (9/10, soon be released)
  • C-project tasks (9/10, every task is done except task 10)
  • Media-material collection (0/10, we don't have anything so far)
  • Add/post everything on the horse (10/10, everything is up to date)

B) Achieved:
Finally, the survey is ready and we can spread it. However, since it took quite a lot of time, and we both had to work on it, we could only start with task 10. But this isn't that bad, because we will rework everything on the next time to be able to continue working according to plan.

Project bubbles after:

  • Survey (10/10, released, in circulation)
  • C-project tasks (8/10, task 10 and 12 are homework for us)
  • Media-material collection (0/10, still don't have anything)
  • Add/post everything on the horse (10/10, everything is up to date)
