The Horse 2021/22

Environment & Technology

Goals of 25.03.2022

My to-do-list for today contains of writing our introduction in web-publishing in word-press and finish the evaluation of our survey. After that, we have to make our voice recording of the survey and we will make a little video of our interviews as well. But at first we concentrate us on one step and then on the other.
There is still a lot of work ahead of us but we are optimistic that we will make it.

C-Project Task 16

Since Andrei is no longer in the BMS, cooperation with his friends has become very difficult. He works in the evenings and so I can hardly talk to his friends. Therefore, I have concentrated more on Switzerland.

I have already learned a lot about the possibilities of how to power an aircraft.

oldtimer vs. new cars

It was very difficult to get any information about the energy output of oldtimers. After a long search I found a reliable source from which I took the information that gave me a very surprising result.

The biggest positive point about a vintage car is the fact that it has already been manufactured.
In Europe, a new car is purchased every 5-7 years on average. Since most of the emissions are produced during the manufacturing process and then "decomposed" during use, the modern car becomes more and more environmentally friendly the longer it is driven.

C-Project Task 17 - Revision and Comparison to our Vision beforehand

Our Imagination step was not far from what we know now after our research and talking to two people who got in contact or still are in contact with Cuba.

Mr. Gerber talked to us about the beautiful sides of Cuba and what the benefical parts of the country are. Jasmine confirmed our first impression that we had on the country with the bad food provision and Mr. Gerber briefed us on the political situation in Cuba.

Task 10 C-Project

Airplane technology

In my project, I want to find out what impact flying really has on the environment. I also want to find out what other options there are for powering an aircraft.

I am also comparing the impact of Corona on the air traffic.

With an additional survey, my goal is to find out what additional costs we would pay to fly in a more environmentally friendly way and to make a certain contribution to the further development of aircraft technology.

Introduction

I have been interested in general aviation for a long time. I was already able to gain some experience in the cockpit and fly a small aircraft. Since I am also considering the profession of pilot in my future career choice, this project was a good choice. I like to fly, so I'm also interested in what effect flying has on the environment and what possibilities there are to fly in a more climate-friendly way.

With a survey I wanted to find out what price people would pay more to fly in a more climate-friendly way. I also wanted to find out why people fly and what values they focus on when choosing an airline.
