I am Gundula, the royal plane tree
Since my planting in 2000, I live here in the Restaurant les halles and I have grown 21 m high.
A magnificent crown adorns (decorates) me. With it I evaporate more than 50'000 l of water a year (1 bathtub/day). This makes it up to 6 degrees cooler under me on hot days. The area of all my leaves is 2'380 m2 - nine tennis courts.
Bats, dormice (Siebenschläfer) and other small mammals find shelter with me.
QUESTION:
What is the volume of my crown?
Answer: 1700 m3, which is equivalent to over 33,000 banana boxes or 300,000 footballs
